Our mission is to help our NHS and social care partners by delivering creative and practical solutions to health and community estates requirements and challenges.
Our unique joint venture model, the Service Targeted Estate Partnership (STEP), allows a Trust to maintain control over their estate whilst benefiting from the funding, design and management capabilities of a specialist private sector organisation focussed entirely on health and social care estate solutions.
HM Treasury, the Department of Health and Monitor all support the concept of JVs in developing the healthcare estate.
In October 2010, Ryhurst formed the first whole estates joint venture partnership in the NHS, with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, the mental health trust for the county of Lancashire.
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust and Ryhurst have formed Red Rose Corporate Services, an independent company, in which they are equal shareholders, with the aim of ensuring that the Trust has state of the art facilities to deliver modern mental health services in the future. Whilst the role of Red Rose Corporate Services is primarily to design, build, finance and operate new inpatient facilities, it will also play a leading role in the delivery of the full range of estates and associated support services needed by the Trust.
