Throughout April 2018, staff at Rydon Headquarters in East Sussex ran a spring cleaning campaign on behalf of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Staff members donated 30 bags of good quality items ranging from clothes and toys to kitchen equipment and soft furnishings, coming in at an estimated value of £450.
The donations were sent directly to a newly opened St Catherine’s shop in Redhill, enabling donations from other sources to keep stock levels high in its other shops.
Sophie Peckham, St Catherine’s Philanthropy Manager said “Thank you to everyone who has donated items to St Catherine’s Hospice Orange bag collection. We are extremely grateful for your support in helping us stock out brand new shop in Redhill. Each item donated goes a long way to supporting your local community with end of life care”.
St Catherine’s Hospice is a charity providing expert care to terminally ill people in their homes, at Day Care Centres and on clinical wards across West Sussex and East Surrey. The charity also provides support to anyone affected by death and bereavement, including family members, friends and carers. St Catherine’s Hospice supports around 2,000 people each year.
