A team of nine riders from Rydon’s south west operations recently joined thousands of others to participate in Bristol’s Biggest Bike Ride, and brought home the goods by winning first prize in the small business category.
The event followed the announcement that Bristol had been selected the UK’s first Cycling City where government funding totalling £11.4 million has been awarded to Bristol to transform cycling infrastructure and to pioneer innovative ways of making cycling a real alternative to the car.
The team’s success was given excellent media coverage helping to raise the profile for the group in this important market.
The photo shows Mary Whittington (Ryhurst), Caroline Stowe (Rydon Maintenance) and Hannah Holloway (Ryhurst) receiving their prize from the Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Christopher Davies.
